Yesterday afternoon, close to dinner time, I found this little one out back.
She was on the other side of the gate, and I could see her negotiating with the heaviness of it, trying to get her plastic shopping cart through.
I went out and helped her and she headed up the driveway, a woman on a mission.
She was goin' places.
I didn't have shoes on -- but I walked a ways behind, following her, all the way around the block.
It was a quiet moment in my heart.
Her small chubby legs.
The way she'd glance behind and smile at me.
She is a delight and joy.
I'd follow that cute little bum anywhere.
