A small piece of reassurance

After feeding my boys this morning, I propped them both up against me to hold them close and burp them. Everything was quiet, and I was just enjoying the moment. Then, I happened to glance down and notice that one of the boys had his arm extended and resting on the arm or back (I can't remember) of his brother. The thought that came instantly to my mind was, "There IS peace in the world." With all the confusion, anger, mass devastation and pain that swirls around us, I found myself enveloped in a serene sense of calm.
